Sales Engineer (Account Manager) - Southeast US Territory

The Position
Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing based in Highland Heights, Ohio, the Sales Engineer will be responsible for managing and growing the Southeast Territory which includes Florida, NC, SC, GA, AL, MS, LA, TX, AR, and OK. Primary territory focus will be Florida. Responsibilities include generating new sales in the territory while supporting existing accounts in the region, including servicing and growing several house accounts.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have several years of related outside sales experience selling product manufacturing services to the medical device industry. Experience with contract manufacturing of metallic or plastic-based medical components, medical devices and/or implants is highly preferred. Working knowledge of machined part drawings for metal parts and dimensional tolerances is required.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and be direct and decisive, while at the same time have the ability to develop trust, respect and confidence with internal and external customers. The candidate must have excellent communication skills, as well as superior organizational and project management skills. Candidate must possess the ability to develop business strategy but also be able to be tactical and execute with a “get it done” attitude. Must be results-oriented with desire and ability to learn quickly and make a significant contribution in the short-term. Must be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.
Candidates who reside in Florida are preferred. Candidate will work from a home office, but must have the ability to travel to cover Southeastern sales territory, attend trade shows and travel to Cleveland, Ohio for sales meetings. Bachelor’s degree required.
