Sales Manager - Mining - NE Territory
MTU Detroit Diesel, Inc. MTU Detroit Diesel is an Equal Opportunity EmployerESSENTIAL:1. Develops and executes effective sales strategy for northeast territory (Eastern Canada and Northeast USA) to secure engine sales with mining OEM's and MTU DD distributors. Identifies and manages business opportunities for MTU DD engine products. 2. Prepares and conveys proposals for supply agreements, operating cost guarantees, extended warranty, engine pricing incentives, and other effective sales tools.3. Prepares forecast input and sales activity reporting that supports departmental operating plan.4. Provides responsive sales assistance to OEM's, distributors, OEM dealers and mine end-users. Resolves customer concerns and complaints in a timely manner, to generate goodwill and grow sales.5. Tracks and reports business trends, engine fleet population, competitor activity, and market conditions in area of responsibility.6. Prepares and presents professional presentations to communicate effectively with customers and MTU DD.SUPPLEMENTAL:1. Maintains knowledge of MTU DD products, applications and policies.2. Meets customers at the highest management level while representing MTU DD in a professional manner for the specific purpose of generating sales.3. Establishes achievable but challenging short and long term goals designed to promote and increase MTU DD's market penetration in an assigned area of responsibility.4. Keeps company property clean, organized, operational and controls regional expenditures.5. Performs special projects. REQUIRED:1. Bachelors degree in Engineering/Technical/Business field and 3 years of experience in sales management; or 7 years of experience in sales management.2. Strong financial analysis skill 3. Self-starter with the ability to work extended periods without supervision.4. Strong oral and written communication skills5. Demonstrated interpersonal skill and ability to work effectively with others.6. Strong ability to assimilate, organize, prioritize and manage information related to customer and corporate requirements7. Strong leadership skills, especially in addressing sales isses that extend to other departments. 8. Strong ability to multi-task effectively9. Strong problem solving skills and ability to make decisions.12. Willingness to travel, domestic and international13. Proficient with PC and MS Office SuitePREFERRED:1. Knowledge of MTU DD products or comparable diesel engine products and their applications. RESPOND HERE!
