Sales Planning Assistant

Yamaha Electronics Corporation, USA, based in Buena Park, California offers Home Theater components and systems, featuring A/V Receivers, Amplifiers, DVD/CD, Speakers, Mini-Systems, video Projection, as well as A/V & IT Convergence Products.  We currently have an opening for a Sales Planning Assistant.

General Qualifications:Works as liaison between Yamaha Electronics (YEC) and the parent company.Tracks product shipments and receipts and follows up on delays.Maintains various reports essential for product purchasing and tracking to receipt.Maintains and updates the Purchasing, Sales & Inventory (PSI) Excel spread sheet.Acts as primary contact for coordinating major vendor  incoming product.Monitor inter-company and direct shipment orders

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Work as liaison between Yamaha Electronics and the parent company.Maintain shipping information and invoices from Yamaha Corporation Japan (YCJ) by separating finished goods, samples and other items and updating the Estimated Arrival Schedule.Check finished goods inventory receipts for delivered items and ascertain any delays.Compare data on Questa Web, Oracle and information from YCJ to determine if products are shipped as scheduled.Check unshipped items comparing YCJ's information and YEC's.Maintain new product information.Maintain information on Oracle by generating & maintaining PO's, fixing errors, checking inventory, entering new models & updating existing models in Item Master.Process samples and other items for return to origination point.Maintain and update Purchasing, Sales & Inventory (PSI) report & participate in monthly meetings.Acts as primary contact for coordinating key account incoming product with National Sales Manager and other key account personnel.Compiles and distributes the daily Product Availability report.Maintain and update sales data for monthly report.Issue PO's to domestic speaker suppliers and monitor incoming product.  Determine delivery schedule and contact truck company to arrange container delivery to contracted warehouse.Determine container delivery schedule for both YCJ and domestic shipment.  Record deliveries for which Pierpass fee is applied to.  Compare invoices from suppliers and truck company for Pierpass costs.Monitor Yamaha subsidiaries direct ship orders:  RFQ, price confirmation, maintain sales orders, issue PO to suppliers, consolidate shipping documents and issue invoices, follow up on the payment.Monitor Inter-company orders via Export. Issue PO and follow-up on incoming master cartons and quick connect guide(s).Forecast logo qty for domestic speakers and place orders to suppliers in overseas manufacturing facilities and YCJ as necessary.  Follow up on delivery and payment.

Qualifications*** Must be bi-lingual in Japanese (speak, read, & write at a business level).  This is a requirement for the position. ***2-3 years of experience in a distribution environment with overseas parent.Must have formal work experience or schooling (or a combination of both) in supply chain concepts.Bachelors degree highly desirable.Experience within a distribution environment with overseas parent highly desirable.Intermediate Microsoft Office capabilities.
