JOB TITLE: Sales Representative DEPARTMENT: Sales POSITION SCOPE An Empire Sales Representative is an independent contractor who offers the convenience of selling a variety of household products (e.g., carpet, window treatments, siding, etc.) to customers in their homes.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responds to all sales appointments in service region Training in all sales materials and products Presents product and service offerings to customers Achieves or surpasses individual sales targets/goals Cross-sells across Empire Today’s product lines Provides answers to customer inquiries concerning products and pricing Increases unit sales and dollars by emphasizing company sales practices Maximizes the potential for conversion of leads to sales Ensures accurate reporting and accounting of Sales leads assigned through proper use of daily recaps and ongoing reporting Maintains personal sales metrics at or above company standards Attends weekly motivational sales and training meetings. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 2-3 years sales experience required (in-home sales preferred) Experience in the home building industry a definite plus Must possess a high degree of self-motivation, and well developed planning, organization and time management skills Have excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills, and the ability to present both product and service capabilities of the company in response to the unique needs of each customer. Must be flexible to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays as required Education:  Some college preferred.Computer Knowledge Requirements: MS Word, Excel and OutlookAll sales representatives are independent contractors.
