Sales Specialist - SABIC Innovative Plastics (formerly GE Plastics)

Job Purpose This position of Sales Specialist, Plastics resins will be responsible for multiple accounts with a total revenue responsibility exceeding $4MM. Essential Functions · The Sales Specialist will call on customers within a specific geography, as well as promote our products through interaction with both internal and external stakeholders. · This position requires 70% + travel · The Sales Specialist will drive direct sales of a wide variety of GE Plastics' Engineering Thermoplastic products within a diversified customer portfolio. · Emphasis will be placed on identifying key growth opportunities within the territory by applying principles of strategic account leadership including managing pricing, driving contribution margin, making balanced decisions to help the business maximize growth within the current supply / demand environment. · The ability to drive growth within the territory through closing new business at current customers, closing new business at new customers, and market share gains from competitors are essential components of job success. · This individual will work closely with the customer base and Americas Field Marketing team to determine the right pricing, volume and delivery of products to customers and will collaborate with others to develop a sales forecast, prospecting target accounts, and to obtain assistance to solve technical and product questions. Basic Qualifications · Strong sales background with 3+ years of outside sales experience. · Demonstrated commercial skills. · BA/BS required - Engineering or Plastics degree a plus. · Demonstrated ability to handle a technical product line. · Strong relationship development skills. · Excellent computer skills - experienced in using MS Office Suite tools (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook). · Experience in presenting to groups at both customers and internally.
