Description of Training Program:
•This is a dynamic, growth business within PPG
•Candidate will participate in a formal training program for a period of 6-12 months. The program will be start at PPG locations in Pittsburgh or Cleveland and is expected to transition to a field location within the first 6 months.
•Candidate will receive extensive training on the multiple TrueFinish product lines including liquid, powder and pretreatments. In addition, training will be provided in selling skills, time management and territory management.
•Training will occur at many PPG facilities in the US including Milwaukee and Kenosha, WI, Strongsville and Euclid, OH, Springdale, PA and Greensboro, NC. In addition, considerable training will occur in customer locations with experienced PPG sales representatives throughout the US and Canada.
•Additional projects will be assigned during the training period that will provide additional insights into the business and markets. These could include market segmentation projects, competitor research, and industry targeting.

Typical Assignments after Training:
The candidate will be placed in a sales territory within the US . Ample opportunity exists to move from one of these roles into large account management, regional field sales management, national accounts sales management, and marketing.



•Candidates should have demonstrated leadership skills and be highly self-motivated individuals.
•Should have the maturity, time management skills, and entrepreneurial spirit necessary to function independently in the field.
•Excellent relational skills to handle a diverse and demanding customer base.
•Easily adaptable to “coatings environment”, comfortable in manufacturing environment, and being around mechanical equipment.
•Service oriented with demonstrated behaviors in relational selling.
•Willingness to travel up to 33%.
•Location flexibility and ability to relocate a must.

Candidates should have demonstrated leadership skills and be highly self-motivated individuals. Students must have a GPA of at least 2.8 and be authorized to work permanently in the United States.
