Sales and Marketing Assistant

Distant Lands Coffee Roaster is a rapidly growing leader in the hot beverage industry. We work with the world’s leading retailers and distributors, providing the knowledge and support to get them into the business of marketing and selling the finest coffees and teas in the world. Due to continued expansion and exciting growth opportunities, we are currently seeking a full time Sales and Marketing Assistant.

 

Position Summary:

 

This position is responsible for the design, content and creation of sales presentations in PowerPoint.  Presentations will need to be continually updated with current industry data charts.  Responsibilities will also include reading and pulling interesting articles/data from industry periodicals.  The Sales and Marketing Assistant will interact with our sales team in regard to presentations, research and analysis.  An example of projects to include:

 

-Compile product spec sheets for QC and production.

-Coordinate trade shows and keep trade show schedule and budget up to date.

-Manage, coordinate and ship sales samples.

-Provide assistance to Sales Development and Graphics on projects where needed.

-Aid in new product rollout where needed (new item forms, etc.).

-Read and reply to all web inquiries.

-Responsible for keeping presentation room clean and items properly displayed.

-Overflow support for Executives on special projects/presentations (Board of Directors meetings, etc.).

 

Software proficiencies:

-Entire MS Office Suite (heavy PowerPoint a must)

-PhotoShop-basic image editing

-Drawing software such as Illustrator or FreeHand a plus
