POSITION SUMMARY:Generate a by-item detailed weekly production plan that will coordinate with material releases, provide balance and stability to everyday operations, aid in finished goods and stores inventory turns, and improve customer service.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Supply Chain:1) Use the FMS/DIS software, MS Excel spreadsheets, MS Access databases, GLOBE .2) Coordinate with the materials function to develop and monitor materials release program.3) Schedule and communicate all machine changeovers/PMs to Maintenance and Production.4) Coordinate people requirements with Production and communicate needs to Personnel.5) Travel to different production facilities and Co-Manufactures as required.6) Tour and inspect plant as needed.7) Work with Suppy Planner / Scheduling Supervisor to revise monthly forecast a required.8) Develop upcoming seasonal production plans two months after the holiday has occurred for current year. After production commences, monitor and update each succeeding month and weekly in the last month of production.9) Monitor results against plan daily and make changes in succeeding plans.10) Other tasks as assigned by Scheduling Supervisor REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent preferred.SKILLS:Knowledge of MRPII system capabilities and Microsoft Office applications.Excellent communication skills, detail oriented, above average interpersonal skills.
