Seal Repair Technician

Principal Accountabilities:

This position provides support to our operations and sales efforts by providing prompt, courteous, disassembly and assembly of mechanical seals for Flowserve customers. The position serves as a contact for our sales team and is responsible for quality products which meet or exceed our customer’s expectations.

 

Performance Standards:

· Assist in the attainment of metrics required for our business model and at least 95% on-time performance of customer order.

· Understanding and knowledge of the products and services offered by FSD.

· Ability to identify seal types and components. Acquire proper documents (e.g. bills of material, assembly drawings, etc) to address task at hand.

· Effectively combine speed, accuracy and quality into processes. This applies to identification, disassembly, evaluation, or assembly of all seals.

· Competency with FSD system computer screens and worksheets to create repair quotes for customer service.

· Handles communications in a timely manner.

· Practices good customer service and communication skills

· Thorough working knowledge of repair and assembly equipment (e.g. cleaners, fixture, presses, etc.)

· Practice good housekeeping in and around respective workstation being mindful that others share this community equipment.

· Practice safety daily utilizing appropriate protective gear and by following procedures. Understand and comply with all Flowserve safety guidelines and participate as required in company safety or training sessions. 

· Approach work in a proactive and supportive manner. Aspire to be a team player assisting elsewhere when business conditions dictate. 

 

Qualifications:

· Minimum of a High School Diploma.

· Mechanical ability to disassemble and reassembled engineered products.

· Experience reading blue prints.

· Highly motivated and accustomed to working on simultaneous multiple tasks with changes in priorities.

· Ability to work overtime and achieve high levels of efficiency, quality, and on time delivery performance.

· Strong aptitude for Flowserve’s 6 C’s.
