We are an equal opportunity employer. Technical resource in Manufacturing Engineering Department focused on general support in Assembly. Key tasks include providing manufacturing engineering support for the following:* Controls support including assembly line, equipment and option level fail- safing database/pick light/tool problem resolution.* BOM questions relating to correctly building the product.* Develop close working relationship with shift business unit managers and support specialists to foster good team work.* Document daily issues including resolution or attempted fixes.* Communicate issues and recommendations to appropriate first shift manufacturing engineering department members.* Point person in contacting other manufacturing engineering department members on an emergency basis.* Communicate process/equipment/tooling/controls changes to second shift teams.* Quality improvement projects to reduce BIS defects and improve First Time Right in assembly.* Train associates and support specialists on new processes and equipment.* Support the Equipment Capable star point of the CMEP work system.* Maintain functional excellence by keeping tied in with manufacturing engineering department activities. BSEEE/BSEE/BSMET/BSME/BSIE or other technical degree is preferred, Associates Degree with 3-5 years PLC experience will be considered.4-10 years experience in a technical support role in a manufacturing operationGeneral understanding of tooling, fixtures, and automated equipmentControls experience a definite plusPC experience with MS Office, databases a plusAnalytical, comfortable with change, Teamplayer."Cummins Inc is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Affirmative Action Employer dedicated to diversity in the workplace."
