Senior Accountant-Cost

A Manufacturing Company located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania has an opportunity for a Senior Accountant who will handle the following responsibilities:

 

- Perform month-end inventory closing procedures for the various channels

- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for inventory and in transit accounts for select parts of the business

- Review and analyze sourced inventory receipts, in transit activity and reconcile balances to the general ledger

- Monitor inventory activity and investigate significant adjustments

- Identify process errors and work with operating groups to resolve and improve controls

- Analyze sourced inventory purchases and calculate purchase price variances on a monthly basis

- Work with sourcing teams to improve accuracy of product costs and identify opportunities for improvement

- Develop and maintain monthly inventory analyses by brand and channel along with comparisons to budget and forecast

- Assist external auditors in the annual audit and quarterly reviews by preparing various schedules and supporting ad hoc information requests

 

We are searching for candidates that meet the following requirements:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA a plus

- 3+ years experience

- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
