Your tasks
The current Waseca, MN opening is an ideal fit for a degreed candidate, who is motivated, has great interpersonal skills and has proven experience in analysis and design of application system requirements.
HERE ARE SOME SPECIFICS ABOUT OUR OPENING:
Java will be the primary development tool. However, successful candidates may also work on projects with the Oracle development toolset which may require Forms development, Reporting tasks etc. Major areas of accountability:
Work with clients to analyze business requirements and to develop functional specifications of small to moderate sized tasks.
Design and code programs of moderate complexity from functional specifications.
Develop test plans and fully test and debug all programs written.
Provide and maintain documentation of all programs and applications.
Participate in project planning and scheduling including estimating application development tasks.
Provide technical leadership on small projects or within a subject area.
Identify and resolve application and/or technical problems.
Provide assistance, instruction and technical direction to other members of the department.
Make suggestions to improve programming techniques and applications.
Provide technical guidance and training to client personnel in the functional operation of application systems.
Be knowledgeable in commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the application development field.
Ensure reasonable use of computer resources at all times.
Be responsible for on-call support of application systems.
Perform other duties as apparent or assigned.
Our requirements
1. The individual we seek will have completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with minimum overall GPA of 3.00 and minimum GPA of 3.0 in the major. (Please note that we will not be interviewing Masters level candidates).
2. A minimum of 5 years directly related experience.
3. Well developed verbal and written communication skills and a desire to work in a team-based work environment are critical attributes for all of our IT positions.
4. Documentation of authorization to work permanently in the United States is required.
5. The candidate must be able to travel occasionally by commercial aircraft and by automobile and must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license.
6. All applicants must successfully complete a post-offer drug screen and a background check.
