Senior Electrical Engineer  R&D

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Researching, developing, designing, and testing electronic components, products, and systems utilizing ferroelectric, nonlinear, dielectric, phosphorescent, photo-conductive, and thermoelectric properties of materials.
• Designing test control apparatus and equipment, determining procedures for testing products and directing engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment.
• Developing new applications of conductive properties of metallic and nonmetallic materials used in components and in application of components to products or systems.
• Directing field operations and maintenance of electronic installations.
• Evaluating operational systems and recommending design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or changes in system requirements.
• Using computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
• Directly supervising 1-5 technicians, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance,  addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Complying with and ensuring department compliance with company health, safety and environmental policies.

Qualifications include a BS degree from a four-year college or university or five+ years related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
