Job Title-Senior Engineer

Location-Neenah, WI

Division-Alcan Food Packaging Americas

Department responsibilities include all functions related to safety, quality, product development, and raw material management as it relates to the production of packaging film. Responsible for improving processes for productivity gains and cost reduction; providing technical assistance in troubleshooting plant processes; reconciling both internal and external quality issues; coordinating trials of new products; and evaluating substitute and new material changes for direct purchase savings.

Accountable for the safety, quality, productivity, product development, and cost of manufacturing improvements within the plant. Eliminate waste of materials and rework of finished product. Meet customer quality and delivery requirements. Build and maintain an effective work environment following corporate, business and plant procedures, while promoting employee involvement. Build teamwork and effective working relationships with other internal resources.

Demonstrated leadership via continuous improvement tools.

Working knowledge of modern manufacturing methods.

Involved in the implementation of some form of TPM, CI, or lean manufacturing principles

Experience in manufacturing preferably in polymer extrusion and converting.
