The VMC Group, a leading manufacturer of vibration isolation and seismic control products, has an opening for a senior engineering position. The VMC Group, corporate office in NJ is looking for an engineer for our Houston, Texas location.
Function
• Size/select spring supports and size/design support frames
• Selection and layout of isolation/earthquake bracing systems and project submittals
• Product development and testing
• Static load and stress analysis. FEA knowledge a plus
• Manage time, schedules and budget aspects for larger jobs.

Qualifications
• B.S. in an engineering discipline
• Minimum 5 years experience
• Registered P.E. preferred
• Ability to interpret building construction drawings.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems, piping, duct and plans a plus.
• Knowledge of building and design codes preferred
• Proficiency in static structural or dynamic analysis, product design or industrial fabrication. Familiarity with FEA.
• Excellent technical communication skills required for interaction with sales reps and customers.
• Basic Microsoft Office, AutoCAD
• Company will train candidate in product design and application methods.
