Senior Financial Analyst - Pricing a.k.a. Competitive Pricing Manager

Amerimax Building Products, a leading manufacturer for the recreational vehicle and housing industries, and a Goldman Sachs owned company, has an immediate opening for the newly created position of Senior Financial Analyst – Pricing also known as Competitive Pricing Manager at its Division Headquarters in Plano, TX.  Amerimax’s mission is to create long-term shareholder value and provide an excellent return on investment by meeting or exceeding our customers' expectations, and by creating a fully participatory environment supported by necessary resources while maintaining the highest ethical standards.

 

SUMMARY

Responsible for collecting, analyzing and evaluating data from internal and external sources on products, costs and product markets to provide pricing recommendations, quotes and margin analysis to senior management. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to accomplish each essential duty satisfactorily while maintaining regular and dependable attendance.  Other duties may be assigned.



Develop and maintain standard pricing models and perform statistical, cost and financial analysis of data.

 

Clarify and sustain product variance analysis. 

 

Review customer pricing for new and existing accounts and maintain pricing lists and a pricing structure for contracts and job quotes. 

 

Report to and take direction from the subsidiary Controller.

 

Work closely with senior management especially the Sales & Marketing Director.

 

Participates in the Lean Six Sigma process by volunteering for LSS projects, and promotes the company's safety program by following all safety regulations

 

Acts as a team player to assist with projects for other departments within the company, as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will possess at least (3) years of experience in manufacturing pricing analysis and must understand the cost concepts and terminology including activity based costing. BA degree in finance, accounting, economics or statistics is required, while an MBA is preferred.

 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Strong written, verbal and presentation skills are essential as are excellent analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to interpret financial data and effectively communicate the results.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS 

Computer proficiency with spreadsheets and database structures is critical.  Ability to use complex mathematical, compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to create and interpret graphs is also required.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Must have the ability to solve complex analytical  problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists, and the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form is needed.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

Certificate and/or knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma are a plus.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  The office has a climate controlled setting: however, the manufacturing plant floor is not air-conditioned during summer months.
