Senior HR Generalist - Bilingual English / Spanish

Growing Manufacturer of 300+ employees in the Santa Clarita Valley, is seeking an experienced HR Practitioner to join our high performing Human Resources Team. This new Senior HR Generalist will report to the Director of Human Resources, and support the new growth of one of our sites.  If you are a, hands-on team player, who is creative, proactive and eager to be a part of dynamic group, please send us your resume.  This position will provide local support for all aspects of the HR function, including, but not limited to:

 

Description of DutiesRecruitment (regular and temporary), orientation, benefits, payroll, employee relations and site safety liaisonEnsure adherence to corporate policies and proceduresSupport all levels of line and staff management Oversee company benefit enrollment and administration Provides guidance to local management regarding employment and safety law and/or company policy Maintains appropriate documentation in accordance with state and federal requirements Responsible for local leave of absence and workers’ compensation programs Provide reporting to corporate office on weekly and monthly basis

 

Summary of RequirementsBilingual a must-- English / Spanish, both written and verbal Solid technical and functional knowledge federal  employment labor laws, workers’ compensation, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, benefit programs, and regulatory requirements Strong organizational and project management Requires extreme confidentiality, excellent judgment and discretion Knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing computer applications (Word, Excel, and HRIS ADP PayeXpert – HR eXpert - Ezlabor) Ability to work effectively in a highly confidential, fast-paced environment Five or more years’ related experience within a Manufacturing environment Requires in-depth knowledge of California labor laws
 

EducationUndergraduate degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent Formal training in functional areas or equivalent experience PHR certification preferred
