Senior HR Manager

Our client, a manufacturer headquartered in Eaton, Ohio, is searching for a leader for the HR team. 

The Sr. HR Manager will be responsible for developing and executing HR strategies to advance business objectives, continuously improve human resources processes, and provide high quality HR products and services.

The Sr. HR manager will provide HR Generalist support to assigned organizations consisting of approximately 250 employees.  The Sr. HR manager will be responsible for designing and implementing the HR initiatives in support of the overall business needs.   Must be able to understand the business needs, make recommendations, and develop and implement HR solutions.  Serves as a resource/consultant in strategic and tactical approaches to HR management in areas including; employee development, employee relations, recruitment and selection, policy and procedure development, training, compensation and benefits, performance evaluation, organization development, and succession planning.  The Sr. HR Manager will act as a change agent and will help support cultural and performance change required for company success and growth.

Duties include providing leadership, direction and guidance to line management in support of the overall business needs; to include (employee relation, performance management, staffing learning and development, comp and benefits programs and activities for both the Eaton, OH, and outlying facilities.Provide functional direction and support to off- site the HR associate. Develop, implement and interpret human resource policies, procedures and methods of administration and recommend appropriate courses of action to management. Compensation and benefits - Salary administration, promotions, employee benefits. Ensure overall competitiveness and alignment between local and corporate guidelines. Develop and drive implementation of reward and recognition programs. Develop recommendations to improve communications within the company as the business grows. Responsible for entire change management process to include; development, execution and measurement. Manpower and resource planning - determine program goals and priorities and allocate staff resources. Develop/source and implement management development training for managers and supervisors. Participate as a steering team member in the Lean manufacturing transformation initiative that is underway. Recommend/develop & implement tactics for change management and/or changes in 1st level supervisors as needed to effect the transition.

Requirements include:Prior experience as a Sr. HR Manager for a facility with 250-300 employees minimum. A proven track record of effectively partnering with    business clients and excelling in both the tactical and strategic aspects of HR. Good communication skills (presentation, writing, listening, open and direct). Comfort working in a fast paced, ever-changing business environment. 15+ years of related HR Generalist experience; min 5 years in high tech industry and at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a Sr. HR Manager. Experience supporting engineering, operations, business development and marketing. Possess leadership qualities and passion for HR. Strong computer skills, including HRIS. BA in related fields of study, PHR and/or graduate degree a plus.  Experience in a high tech manufacturing environment or a related industry preferred.
