Sr. HR Manager - Pall Industrial

This position is a Sr. level HR Manager for a business with 2000 + employees in the Western Hemisphere.  Candidates must have the skills, experience and demeanor to be considered a member of the groups' leadership team.  A key function is to partner with line and senior management regarding talent recruitment, business planning, goal setting, HR policies, statistical analytical reporting and the broader corporate climate that fosters a need for change management strategies.

Job Functions include:

- Lead and participate in formulating and implementing Western Hemisphere HR recruitment strategies and initiatives which integrate with and influence the business strategy by focusing on the recruiting needs of an organization that will grow over the next several years.

- Assist with creating and sustaining an effective talent pipeline by developing new strategies and programs to attract and retain candidates while also managing a well developed group of quality vendors.  Work closely with recruiters and generalists to share best practices, provide assistance on critical needs, and coordinate Western Hemisphere initiatives.

- Implementing training programs that will encompass all facets of management development, communication and performance accountabilities both near and longer term.

- Advising and coaching line managers on their specific business issues and challenges.

- Providing leadership and mentoring to the human resources function while also further developing the skills and talents of the entire team.

 

The successful candidate must be a results-driven, seasoned HR generalist with strong technical skills and experience.  Must display the highest level of professional competency, a true business perspective and a leadership style that will quickly gain the confidence of management and staff throughout the organization.  Exemplifies someone who is intellectually curious and energetic with outstanding technical, interpersonal and communication skills.  Must have a minimum 9-10 years experience in a generalist role preferably in a manufacturing environment including delivery of HR services to multiple sites.

 

Candidates should have:

- Previous leadership role in HR function in a public company known for its people management competence; experience with a truly global organization with time spent in an international type position a plus.

- Ability to be out front with operating management, working closely with them as a business partner and helping them to resolve critical people and business issues.

- Ability to quickly gain the trust and confidence of the business leaders and the executive staff.

- Presence, confidence and communication skills that assure effective participation at all levels of an organization.

- Solid business and people acumen, empathetic listening skills at all employee levels, problem solving, and good oral and written communication skills, including group presentation skills are required.

- Extensive experience with strategic planning, management development and leadership assessment.

- Excellent recruiting skills with exceptional knowledge of internet recruitment and a good judge of people.

- Highly regarded for his/her ethical standards.

 

Candidates MUST possess:

- Bachelors degree essential and MBA or equivalent highly desirable preferably in business, HR or related field.

- Ability to travel throughout the Western Hemisphere.

 

This position will be located in our Port Washington, NY or East Hills, NY office.
