Senior Lean Engineer

We are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.We are currently seeking a Senior Lean Engineer to focus on implementing lean manufacturing practices throughout the organization. The Senior Lean Engineer will report to the Lean Manager and will lead regional activities to reduce variable and operational costs utilizing Lean methodology's to eliminate non-value added steps and waste in core manufacturing and administrative processes. They will champion Lean training events, lead lean/kaizen events and establish metrics for monitoring progress. They will apply Lean practices along with implementing Americas/Global best practices. Help drive Lean and DFM requirements for select new product introduction products and processes. Reporting Relationship/Scope of Position:Reports to the Lean Manager, has no direct reports. Job Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience. Formal training in Lean Manufacturing or experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment is desired. Minimum 5 years process improvement experience. The ideal candidate would have 1-2 years of experience in coating, printing, assembly, converting or related industries. Practical hands on experience on process improvements using quality tools that may include but not limited to, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA, both design and process), Design of experiments (DOE), process capability assessment and development, error-proofing, six sigma, lean manufacturing and Statistical Process Control (SPC). Mature, strong leadership, communication, planning, analyzing, influencing and organization skills, strong ability to set, monitor, drive manufacturing improvement and meet quality goals High energy and excellent team skills.
