Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer

Responsible for the development/refinement of manufacturing methods. Maintain and update product & tool drawings & routing sheets. Plan, justify, & commission for use production facilities. Provide technical direction to manufacturing personnel. Specific Responsibilities Include: Responsible for maintenance of material specifications, product drawings, routing sheets & manufacturing procedures. Design & debugging of manufacturing processes & tooling. Continuous improvement of tooling & manufacturing methods. Assist in reduction of set-up time. Partner with production technicians to enhance manufacturing processes & troubleshoot issues. Resource for technical guidance to manufacturing personnel. Assist in determination of root cause of persistent problems. Assist in justification of new production facilities. Assist in getting new facilities on line. Help to ensure that quality and standards for the department are adhered to and maintained.Assumes other special activities and responsibilities from time to time as required.  Skills & Requirements Profile Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or closely related field. Must be proficient in CAD (3D wireframe such as Solidworks is preferred). Five years experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred. Must have working knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles. Requires experience in product and process failure analysis and an understanding of world class manufacturing techniques such as lean manufacturing, JIT, SPC, TQM, etc. Must have demonstrated a record of achievement in manufacturing and problem solving with production teams. Must be skilled in use of personal computers with emphasis on analytical software.Final Compensation program for the successful candidate will be tied into actual years of applicable experience.
