Genie Industries is a $2 billion (revenue) division of Terex Corporation. Genie, based in Redmond, WA, has approximately 4500 team members spread throughout the globe, though Redmond is the primary location, with 3000+ team members across the corporate campus. The parent company, Terex, is a $7.6 billion (revenue) company that manufactures, sells and services capital equipment for the mining and construction industries world wide. Terex is a Fortune 500 company, with a listed stock on the NYSE. The company is headquartered in Westport, CT. The company has grown rapidly over the past four years and is in the midst of a transition from a privately held small company, to a publicly owned big company. Management desires to maintain much of the small company informality while implementing some of the large company disciplines that are required in today's environment. We are seeking a Senior Market Research Analyst to provide support for the product marketing function and related duties through research and analysis of the company's markets, competition and product mix.     ? Helps develop business plan and strategy for the product line. ? Works closely with the Marketing Solutions team on the marketing campaigns for the product lines. Provides data and manages the process and implementation of the marketing programs. ? Manage projects from start to finish. ? Responsible for taking a question, and then developing and implementing a program to answer the question. ? Responsible for identifying data sources, reducing and analyzing the data, and presenting the conclusions in a clear, concise, and useable manner. ? Provides ongoing market analysis and assessment of competitors and market intelligence with a focus on the future and value creation. ? Analyzes impact of marketing programs and evaluates them for effectiveness. Provides input for further success with the programs. ? Researches the industry, trends and the competition. ? Coordinates and attends trade shows and promotional events. ? Coordinates product launch planning with International counterparts to ensure consistency and gain economies in worldwide product launches. ? Produces sales training material. ? Conducts literature searches, coordinates specialty searches, acquires and tests competitive products, and views field use of products. ? Provides research data and other input to enable Product Manager to analyze and guide sound business decisions. ? Analyzes and reduces data gathered to produce recommendations for best business direction. ? Performs competitor assessment and industry assessment. ? Conducts studies of market acceptance to new products and services. Prepares forecasts of sales and market share potential based on indicators and surveys. ? Does the collection, analysis and reporting of industry research, New Product Development (NPD) research and competitive intelligence. ? Performs industry trend analysis of the AWP global market position and forecasting of future growth. • Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position ? Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing. ? 3 - 5 years experience in Product Marketing ? Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. ? Must be able to filter large amounts of data to that which is relevant. ? Experience with key statistical tools. ? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. ? Very strong written communication skills ? Requires strong time management skills ? Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. ? Proven ability in new product launches ? Experience in the Consumer Industry is desirable. ?
