Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer

Scope of activities

Key responsibilities· Prepare Technical specifications and selection of rotary and positive displacement Equipments: Centrifugal Pumps, Positive Displacement Pumps, Centrifugal and Rotary Compressor, reciprocating Compressors, turbines, fans, Blowers, etc.· Provide Engineering Calculations for selection and Dimensioning of equipments· Prepare equipment data sheets.· Coordinating work with other engineering disciplines.· Preparation of Equipment requisitions for enquiry.· Technical evaluation of bids.· Preparation of requisitions for purchase· Vendor’s documents and drawings review. · Preparation of Technical Bid tabs for major equipments Construction.· Perform Technical Bid Clarifications Proven Experience· More than 5 years engineering experience in rotating equipment.· Experience in companies providing engineering services to the Chemical, Refining and Petrochemical industry.· Experience must cover the area of Conceptual Engineering, FEED (Front End Engineering Design), Detail Design and Consultation.· Handling of major rotating equipment.

Minimum requirements · Minimum BSc in Mechanical engineering.· In-depth knowledge of rotating equipment. · Familiar with the ANSI, NFPA, ASME, ASTM, AWS, ISO, NACE and OSHA standards.· Possess knowledge of the following standards, among others:-  API STD 610 - Centrifugal Pumps for Petroleum, Petrochemical and Natural Gas Industries. -  API STD 617 - Axial and Centrifugal Compressors and Expander-Compressors for Petroleum, Chemical and Gas Industry Services.-  API STD 618 - Reciprocating Compressors for Petroleum, Chemical, and Gas Industry Services.-  API STD 682 - Pumps Shaft Sealing Systems for Centrifugal and Rotary Pumps-  API STD 614 - Lubrication, Shaft-Sealing, and Control-Oil Systems and Auxiliaries for Petroleum, Chemical and Gas Industry Services.· Knowledge of Sealing Systems for Rotary Equipment.· Good English communication skills· Technical report writing skills· Efficient in Windows, Excel and MS Word· Works well in team environment· Works well independently· Able to transfer knowledge· Able to work well with clients· Able to argue his or her ideas· Able to convince and sell technical concepts and solutions· Able to see clarification· Able to report· Able to advise· Able to obtain support from co-workers· Able to accept and implement decisions· Able to anticipate and forecast· Able to analyze and solve problems· Able to make decisions· Able to develop functional specifications, data sheets and position statements· Develops cost estimates· Develops budget· Responsible for project development· Develops project schedule· Participates in technical evaluation and selection of hardware and vendors· Responsible for HAZOPs· Responsible for vendor interface· Prepares project review reports· Prepares presentations
