Senior Scientist
The successful candidate will participate in multi-disciplinary efforts aimed at developing new optical detection instrumentation.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Developing arrays and sensors for detection of biological and chemical agents.
• Developing innovative approaches for sensing and detection.
• Complying with and ensuring department compliance with company health, safety and environmental policies as well as all applicable U.S. export and security regulations.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications include:
• MS/PhD in Chemistry/Molecular Biology
• 5+ years related experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferences include:
• Direct experience in the development of miniature sensors or sensor arrays. 
• Experience in analytical chemistry, optical sensing based on fluorescence or other spectroscopy and development of novel sensor types.
• Project management experience.
• Experience in one or more of the related disciplines:
  • Systems and instrumentation development in a multidisciplinary environment. 
  • Other, non-optical transducers such as electrochemical, mass.
  • Chemometric data processing, multivariate analysis.
