We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant at our Minneapolis, MN location for our Shared Services team.



This position encompasses the following :

This position has responsibility for review, analysis and reporting on a wide variety of general ledger accounts including intangible assets, ESA/AP accounts on the US ledgers and various IR directed balance sheet accounts. It is also responsible for executing specified closing activities and providing associated reporting for use within the Finance areas. This position performs various closing responsibilities including journal entries and account reconciliations. Assistance with the interim and annual audit and quarterly Sarbanes Oxley control testing are also responsibilities. This position is a key participant in process improvement activities involving Kaizen events, Yellow/Green Belt reviews, Six Sigma projects, etc.

On a monthly basis, process journal entries and complete account reconciliations for assigned areas in a timely manner in Oracle. Execute key month end close activities such as the close of Purchasing module and posting of system generated inventory/expense accruals. Prepare/post journal entries on US company codes for ESA/AP warranty, cores and rebates (as directed by regional controller); bank reconciliations; intangible assets; and other IR tax-directed balance sheet accounts such as Beta Loans, etc. Analyze/reconcile related accounts and provide audit schedules for them as requested. Coordinate and post standard and reversing entries.
Complete and post intercompany transactions and reconcile intercompany AP and AR accounts for assigned IC trading partners. Develop and maintain excellent communication with intercompany trading partners to ensure the intercompany accounts are in balance and that payments to and from trading partners are current.
Provide P&L reporting to ESA/AP management as to regional results residing in the US ledgers. Provide AMR management with Khalix reporting as requested. Provide supplemental schedules via Khalix to IR on a periodic basis. Manage Shared Services Sharepoint website (for IR spreadsheet control.
Process/upload SVC/Telematics invoices to Oracle AR subledger on a weekly basis and tie data submitted to appropriate legacy systems.
Manage the operating lease review process with input from/discussions with plant finance management to assure proper coding of lease payments.
Support quarterly Sarbanes Oxley testing and interim and annual audit review by PWC.
Demonstrates active listening skills, articulates ideas in a clear concise manner. Shows ability to communicate with all of our diverse locations and all levels of the organization. Keeps others informed of issues and progress in resolution of issues. Make sure that others are involved in a timely manner particularly with foreign entities.
