The Senior Software Technology Engineer is responsible for the conception, planning and research in problem areas of considerable scope and complexity. This position is also responsible for the overall architecture and design of software/firmware for a complex system or product, coordinating simultaneous software development strands, evaluating technology tools and recommending implementation.

 

Responsibilities include:

1. Architecting and designing embedded VoIP systems
2. Determining technical requirements, flowcharting, high-level systems design, defining APIs, partitioning, selecting s/w tools, and writing design specifications
3. Leading a software team in new product development and maintaining and enhancing legacy systems

Qualifications:

1. Strong working knowledge of the following required: Embedded systems, C++, VoIP, H.323, SIP, TCP/IP, RTP, and VxWorks.
2. Highly desirable to have experience with:, DSPand Rational Rose.
3. Excellent interpersonal and group leader skills
4. Handle multiple tasks of varying priority smoothly
5. Excellent communication and writing skills

Requirements:

1. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the embedded software field.
2. Minimum 8 years of experience with leading a software team at the project level

Education:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
