Senior Staff Accountants Needed - IFG

Our client has an immediate need for several Senior Staff Accountants and one Accounts Payable Supervisor. 

Qualified candidates must have Hyperion, SAP, Sarbanes-Oxley and US GAAP experience.  A Bachelors Degree in Accounting and 3-5 years experience.

This position will be responsible for all general accounting and reporting for a specified division. This individual will be the primary contact for controllers within their respective division. Prior to and immediately after the conversion to the new P system, this individual will spend time at the sites learning and documenting the current accounting processes. Once completed, they will develop their plan for supporting the division, and be responsible for delivering high quality accounting and support to their respective sites. They will work with the other Senior Accountants in the General Accounting & Reporting Group, who represent the other divisions and corporate, to ensure common processes are being developed within the SAS center.

This position will be responsible for the reporting and analysis of data related to financial transactions of the business. The position will conduct analyses of a variety of financial information as requested by the controllers. Responsibilities will also include the preparation of reports and recommendations resulting from that reporting. The role will be responsible for preparing and recording accounting journal entries (standard, correcting and reoccurring) as needed. Account reconciliations will be performed monthly with periodic reviews with the controllers.

This role will be involved with both internal and external audit processes. Successful candidates will conduct reviews of data and will consult with corporate/division personnel to obtain and provide financial information. With a continual goal of process improvement, this position has accountability for identifying, selecting and designing techniques to ensure optimal analysis of financial elements. They will perform continual review of accounting operations to reduce the impact of potential problems and take advantage of opportunities to achieve cost savings.

This position will be involved in supporting the design, establishment, modification, verification and implementation of cost-effective and responsive programs to meet financial requirements, including a system of checks and balances to safeguard the company assets.

Successful candidates will have 3 to 5 years of experience in a professional accounting role. A strong knowledge of financial policies, ability to effectively interpret financial operating statistics, conduct independent investigations and resolve complex financial problems are also necessary for success. Experience working with US GAAP and knowledge of HFM (Hyperion), SAP and SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) is required.

Candidates must have the proven ability to interface professionally with all levels of the organization and to facilitate difficult discussions through an effective interpersonal approach to problem solving. It is also essential that candidates have demonstrated a commitment to customer focus and satisfaction to ensure our business partners are provided the appropriate service level, timing, etc. Successful experience in meeting commitments to schedule deadlines and comfortable in a demanding and flexible work environment is needed. Self-motivated approach to process improvement, with specific examples of improvements to process, is also required. Experience with consolidations and inter-company transactions are a plus.
