Senior Supply Chain Manager

 

 

Position Summary

 

Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Supply Chain Manager will manage supply chain operations to improve supplier performance for delivery, quality, cost and efficiency of operations. This person should be deeply experienced in supplier performance management, vendor managed stocking programs, cost negotiation, outsourcing strategies, supplier selection, forecast management and ERP systems.

 


Summary of essential job functions

 

· Manage supplier business relationship, for strategic components, to achieve optimal cost, supply flexibility, lead-time reduction and supply predictability.

 

· Ensure capacity plans are in place to meet volume growth projections and on-time delivery.

 

· Implement vendor managed inventory programs

 

· Lead role in transitioning supply chain to an outsourced turnkey model

 

· Transition transactional supplier relationships into strategic partnerships

 

· Develop flexible supply chain processes with strategic suppliers, contract manufacturers and distribution partners to achieve optimal inventory levels.

 

· Set-up tangible measurement schemes to ensure effective evaluation of key suppliers for quality, cost and delivery performance

 

· Create master schedule, generate MRP and project inventory levels.

 

· Ensure proper time phasing of demand to reduce excess, obsolete and inactive inventory levels.

 

· Set-up and own part master information including lead-times for both make to stock and make to order processes.

 

· Take lead role in utilizing SAP ERP for materials functions of MRP, Planning, & Procurement.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

· BS/BA degree with 10 years of high technology experience. Semiconductor equipment industry and start-up experience a plus.

· APICS/CPM certification highly preferred

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated proficiency with MRP systems preferably SAP and software applications including Agile. Also, proficiency with Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint preferred.
