Summary of Job:  The CSE position will be responsible for installation, repair, maintenance and support of CDS products, digital projection systems, 35mm film as well as related OSA and Interactive media systems equipment. You will provide technical telephone and field support and process trouble call tickets. In addition, you will be responsible for technical support of specialized internal applications, inventory management, software distribution / upgrade and supporting administrative tasks.

 

Major Responsibilities:  Provide on call technical phone support and field response to equipment and customer issues.Install and document the installation of OSA brand products and related equipment.Perform preventative scheduled maintenance to ensure optimum operation and a minimum of down time of OSA and Interactive media systems system and Digital Cinema projectors and systems.Perform emergency service at the client’s locations as needed to ensure the full functionality of OSA system and Interactive media systems related equipment and Digital Cinema projectors and systems.Provide detailed technical documentation relating to all functions performed.Provide technical training for the end user relating to the operation of OSA system and related equipment.Maintain accurate market inventory and inventory reports.Provide technical support and training to customers.Provide technical support and training to other CSE’s.Repair or update CDS projectors still under factory warranty or under service contracts.Ability to diagnose and repair Digital Projectors and Digital systems.Ability to diagnose and repair complex technical problems independently.Perform maintenance/repair/alignment on 35mm film projector.Perform maintenance/repair/alignment on Audio A/B chain.Perform maintenance/repair/alignment on house automation system.

 

Additional Functions:Troubleshoot and resolve Network issues i.e. connectivity, applications, Internet, Web, WAN, e-mail and Infrastructure related to CDS brand and related equipment.Assist the FAE in service and maintenance of CDS brand and related equipment as necessary.Refine technical skills through direct experience working with the OSA, Interactive media systems as well as Digital Cinema, 35mm film and projection systems.Provide service/repair feedback to the engineering and training departments.

 

Communication:Provide detailed technical reports to CDS service Manager, Regional Supervisor, Managed Services.Maintain up to date technical equipment/resources as defined by the CDS Service Manager.Provide detailed technical analysis reports to CDS service Manager, Regional Supervisor, Managed Services.  Excellent customer relation skills.

 

Minimum Qualifications:Ability to provide on call support when necessary.BS/BA in a technical field (Electrical or Software) (or equivalent technical experience).Experienced with test generators and other related electrical and video test and calibration equipmentStrong communication and facilitation skills.Excellent work ethic.Experience with multimedia equipment installation and service.Excellent technical problem solving, troubleshooting, follow up skills.Ability to lift 80 lbs. without assistance.Ability to safely climb ladders up to 15 feet.Ability to safely operate and navigate a motorized lift up to 35 feet.Excellent organization skills and a results oriented approach.Experience with LCD, D-ILA, and / or DLP technology.Intermediate level ability to diagnose and repair Digital Projectors and Digital systems.A strong working knowledge of PC hardware, setup and repair.Proficient in repair/alignment of 35mm film equipment.
