Providing temperature-controlled environments for food and other perishables are essential in today’s global market. Through our Climate Control Technologies sector and Thermo King and Hussmann brands, we provide global solutions for the transportation and retail refrigeration market.





We are currently seeking an experienced Service Manager, Rockford IL (East) at our Rockford, IL location.



This position encompasses the following :


Manage the service business for the Hussmann Rockford, IL area.
Directly supervise service technicians and related office personnel.
Build Customer Loyalty through value added services and customer retention.
Uses in-depth knowledge of competitors and customers operations/best practices to demonstrate the added value of IR's service offerings.
Identify new service opportunities and effectively acts upon or communicates to the appropriate individuals for follow-up.
Financial Management including P&L responsibility for Service Operations.
Maintain a strong understanding of the Branch Financial Model and utilize the model to manage the Service Department to the AOP Gross Profit target.
Manage Service business to ensure AOP targets are achieved.
Manage, develop and lead Service staff to facilitate an environment where employees are empowered and willing to initiate process improvements within Branch Operations.
Oversee all aspects of service regarding dispatch, service delivery, work order review, billing, and collections.
Ensure completion of necessary documents and electronic communication in a thorough, accurate and timely manner for timely invoicing requirements and accurate time cards. Hire, develop, and motivate a competent service staff.
And drive a culture of Safety within the organization.



Qualifications :

10+ years in the refrigeration industry. A working knowledge of all supermarket related refrigeration/ hvac / parallel rack systems/ compressor operation/ case (merchandiser) operation and condensing systems.
Current with EPA/OSHA and safety compliance for the HVAC/R industry.
Experience with managing service technicians (local & remote).
A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint a must.
A knowledge of the Field Centrix software is a plus.
