Service Technician Packaging Equipment

Description
Our client is a major international manufacturer of packaging equipment for the medical industry. They are seeking a person to work as a Service Technician who will install, service and repair complex medical packaging equipment.

This position also requires an individual who can troubleshoot and solve electrical and mechanical problems with limited technical documentation and schematics.


Working hours are between 8:30 and 5:00, with overtime that is currently running about 10 to 15 hours a week. You will be paid overtime pay. Most employees in this category make from $20,000 to $30,000 a year in overtime alone.

Travel will be mostly local by car. There are company cars available for use during the day. If you need to use your own car for business, you will be reimbursed for all business related expenses. There will also be overnight travel several times a month by plane and rent-a-car.

You will be "on-call" with the possibility of being called to work occasionally on the weekends and evenings. You will be paid overtime for this work.

2 or 3 times a year you may be asked to make a two to three week extended stay trip to the east coast or west coast. All expenses will be paid by the company. You will paid for travel time, regular working hours and overtime pay.

This is full time position with health care, dental and vision benefits.

Requirements
Interested candidates should have the following:

1.) At least a high school education.

2.) At least 2 years experience as a service technician.

3.) Willingness to work overtime, be on-call approximately one weekend a month.

4.) The ability to climb ladders, lift and move 40 pound boxes over your head, manipulate hand tools with both hands.

5.) Good references and the ability to pass a comprehensive drug screening test.

6.) A clean driving record, your own car with insurance. (The company will reimburse you for any use of your personal vehicle.)
