Shift Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Founded in 1969, H-J Enterprises, Inc. is a fully integrated foundry and machine shop in High Ridge, MO.  H-J is a manufacturer of electrical connectors for the heavy electrical industry.  This individual will be responsible for providing leadership, team direction and performance on the third shift. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

· Insure all employees adhere to safety guidelines and company policies

· Oversee the execution of the daily production schedule while meeting production goals for operator efficiency, machine uptime and discrepant material

· Coordinate shift performance across multiple departments including production, maintenance, processing, automation, quality and materials

· Prioritize daily work assignments based on production schedule and machine availability

· Monitor equipment cycle time and make adjustments as necessary to stay within standard operating parameters

· Perform in-process inspection checks to verify process repeatability

· Meet with outgoing shift supervisor to discuss production issues and meet with incoming shift supervisor to discuss the same

· Hold daily communication and safety meetings with shift employees. Initiate disciplinary action when warranted

· Improve shift performance through employee training, planning and the reallocation of available resources

 Requirements

  3-5+ years experience, preferably in injection molding/epoxy based systems

· Well-organized, self-starter who is self-motivated with excellent communication skills and a strong sense of urgency

· PC skills, including experience using MS Word, Outlook, Excel

· Problem solving and analytical skills

· Must be able to work well in a team environment 

· Ability to communicate effectively with both your supervisor and shop floor personnel to understand assignments and to provide process-related feedbackExperience with world class manufacturing techniques helpful
