SHIPPER:

 JOB DESCRIPTION & DUTIES:

· Check list of orders due to be shipped; select order numbers and print a pick list.

· Pick stock; count, package, record and transport to shipping dock or staging area.

· Maintain lot control.

· Use the Operating System to verify the balance of material on hand.  Notify cycle counter of all discrepancies between the actual balance of material in stock and the quantity shown on the Operating System’s inventory file.

· Obtain shipping and packing supplies; load and maintain shipping equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma

· Shipping/receiving experience strongly preferred

· Good math skills

· Good communication skills

· Ability to use/learn the Operating System

· Ability to operate lift equipment and scales

· Ability to work overtime

· Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, or walking. (Frequent)

· Ability to climb stairs. (Frequent)

· Ability to work from elevated areas. (Frequent)

· Ability to squat and perform job functions. (Frequent)

· Ability to fully use both hands/arms including ability to reach in all directions, perform pinching operations, complete repetitive tasks, and possess good grip strength. (Frequent)

· Ability to lift 55 pounds, unassisted including unassisted lifts from floor level to heights of 48 inches. (Frequent)

· Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected with good peripheral vision capabilities.(Continuous)

· Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. (Continuous)

· Ability to match or discriminate between colors. (Continuous)

· Ability to bend and twist at the neck and waist. (Frequent)

· Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction. (Continuous)
