Shipping Coordinator/Office Assistant
Job Purpose:
Supports operations, administration and shipping by maintaining and processing budgets, facilities, records, equipment, and building services; completes special projects.
Duties:
* Maintains inventory by reporting items to be re-ordered; preparing item aging report; recording inventory; imputing shipment/inventory data.
* Documents shipments by recording/identifying information of items and transporting information.
* Verifies entered customer account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or re-entering data; combining data from multiple systems when account information is incomplete; purging files to eliminate duplication of data.
* Stores information by preparing folders and labels for new customers; re-arranging materials for space allotment; filing information in designated areas.
* Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operational data and trends.
* Assesses plant utilization of human resources by quantifying employee productivity; evaluating recruitment and turnover costs; finding ways to retain employees.
* Maintains administrative and accounting processes by organizing office processes; accounting operations, and procedures.
* Prepares special reports for plant management by collecting, analyzing, summarizing, and providing plant information and trends at plant management meetings.
* Contributes to plant effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-term issues that must be addressed, providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action.
* Provides information by answering questions and requests.
* Accomplishes department and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
