Shipping Foreman Job Posting


Reporting directly to the Shipping Supervisor, the Shipping & Receiving Foreman is responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating day-to-day shipping & receiving activities of the department and staff, with the goal of ensuring efficiency and accuracy.

The foreman coordinates incoming material and outgoing product with proper warehousing and material handling.


 ResponsibilitiesResponsible to improve department productivity, quality and efficiency. Establishes and maintains accurate inventory of S&R supplies, and other items as directed. Oversees maintenance and repair of delivery truck and forklifts. Closely interacts with other departments to resolve customer service issues. Provide frequent reports on status, changes and progress to the Shipping Supervisor. Provides other related duties as needed. Maintain and improve product handling and packaging guidelines to ensure damage free storage and shipment. Provide immediate supervision to 3 - 5 employees in large yard. Responds quickly to the needs of internal and external customers.

 

QualificationsExcellent interpersonal management skills.
  Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required.
  Experience working with computerized shipping systems, MRP or ERP systems is required. Forklift Certification is a plus. Related experience would include previous Foreman position, experience in Material, Traffic, Shipping and/or Receiving. Knowledge of ITAR, US Commerce, Import /Export, air, land and surface carriers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong planning and organizational skills.
