Shipping Supervisor

We are currently seeking a Shipping Supervisor our warehouse located in Alpharetta, GA.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Ensure production goals are met daily.  Shift employee responsibilities to meet daily production goals (i.e.: picking, processing, sorting, and loading).  Ensure customer order cycle time goals are met.   Communicate and ensure proper shift coverage for overtime and weekends.  Ensure proper procedures are being followed at all times.  Conduct daily shift meeting and communicate goals and other issues to employees.  Communicate with carriers to expedite daily pick ups. Work with other members of the team to support customer orders / internal requests.

 

Staffing

1. Work with Warehouse Manager and communicate any fluctuation required in staffing to meet business demands.

2. Verify and communicate head count to Warehouse Manager daily.

3. Communicate individual performance goals with employees weekly.

4. Coach and motivate employees to help reach performance goals.

5. Conduct annual Performance reviews of all shift employees.

6. Develop shift employees for increasing responsibility.

 

Quality

 

1. Manage all customer orders on the floor and ensure they are picked timely and properly.

2. Expedite all priority orders to make the company established cutoff goals.

3. Ensure that trailers are properly and accurately loaded and secured.

4. Ensure that all material movement and transactions are accurate.

5. Communicate quality expectations and procedures to employees on the floor.

 

Candidate must have 2-5 years experience in a warehouse supervisor role, along with knowledge of SAP.
