We are seeking an experienced Shipping and Receiving Clerk for our fast-paced Inventory Control team. This position requires good communication and time management skills; dependability; the ability to adapt to changing priorities with ease; and strong organizational skills with attention to detail.  This position has direct impact on the organization (i.e. Sales, Purchasing, Production, Finance and ultimately the Customer).  The primary duties of this position Shipping, Receiving, Quality Control, Stocking, and Order Staging, this position is a member of a Shipping & Receiving team and will be the person primarily responsible for the shipping function to ensure all customer orders are packed and shipped by the end of the business day.  You will support all areas of the Inventory Control process. 


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:Receives and Ships numerous packages varying in shapes, sizes, and weightsDelivers inbound packages to the appropriate recipientVerifies items received.  Inspects the conditions of items received, compares counts to purchase orders and packing lists and noting discrepancies.Obtains signatures for every package deliveredEnsures discrepancies and damaged merchandise is immediately addressedPrepares forms and maintain recordsHandles and transports heavy, fragile items from shelf to shelfEnsures every item is placed in the assigned locationReads and verifies detailed packing listsChecks all material into the facility and closes the open purchase order with absolute accuracyReads and understands different types of build sheets and Work Order Travelers to ensure absolute accuracy of items placed in the staging areas.Stages all material required for customer work orders, in preparation for builder assemblyPrepares shipments by assembling, packing, protecting, and labeling containersMonitors the accuracy of Customer Orders prior to shipment.  Safely packs the items correctly for the shipping process to accommodate customer needsPrints and attaches various labels and packing slips with absolute accuracyCounts inventory items with precisionCleans and maintains the warehouse floors and working areasQualified in the safe operation of hand trucks and forkliftAccurate and proficient use of computer software applications (Job Shop, Shipping Software, Microsoft Office, etc.) to accurately record inventory, ship customer orders and to communicate with internal and external customers Responds to telephone calls and emails in a prompt, clear and courteous mannerGreets suppliers and vendors in the shipping and receiving area in a professional and courteous mannerMust be precise with recording information such as item numbers, serial numbers, description numbers, etc.Flexible in work schedule, as needed, to meet customer commitments. Overtime may be required.

Education/Experience:High school diploma or equivalent, some college or continuing education courses preferred3-5 years related experience working in a shipping/receiving environment or equivalent combination of education and experienceHave exceptional customer service, verbal and written communication skills; and the ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment.  Proficiency in Microsoft, order management systems, shipping software and accurate data entry required  Forklift certification  Ability to safely lift up to 100 poundsAbility to stand and walk for the majority of the work shiftISO or other quality control experience highly desirable  This is a warehouse environment with concrete floors.
