Short Range Planner

DescriptionResponsible for analyzing, planning and coordinating material purchases and production plans to achieve established production, customer service, and purchasing objectives. Develops, reviews, and generates weekly and monthly production schedules based on production and shipping requirements and constraints, inventory liabilities, etc. analyzes short/long-range capacity to resolve potential capacity problems through such techniques as level loading, outside contracting, etc. Issues all production orders/batch cards to appropriate personnel; coordinates and expedites the movement of materials to support production schedule and optimize space and efficiency. Interfaces daily with appropriate departments to ensure manufacturing requirements are met and resolves any operating problems (i.e. out of stock, production priorities, rejects, etc.) Requisitions all materials and mass required to support master production schedule and achieve monthly inventory targets. Evaluates and adjusts economic order quantities and economic production quantities to maintain optimum inventory levels and maximum operating efficiency. Identifies and dispositions obsolete inventory; salvages rejected material through in-house and outside furbishing. Coordinates production of product launches and seasonal program with all appropriate areas. Uses AMAPS to analyze and plan material purchases and to develop production plan in accordance with established guidelines. Monitors AMAPS and supplier information and adjusts system dates to reflect the most current information. Resolves and expedites any problems relating to the product line, including Q.C. releases, missing standards, late artwork, tooling delays, etc. Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with established operating procedures and standards of ethical conduct. Qualifications  College degree or equivalent experience Knowledge of manufacturing process, including a minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment Strong analytic, time management, and communication skills Prior exposure to computer systems software preferred, especially AMAPS/Smartstream, Winlims, Microsoft Office, MOOPI/SFC, Formula Control, Buyer+, Planner+ Understanding of inventory management principles Understanding of material flow and equipment capability/capacity Understanding the relationship and timetables between Marketing, Packaging, Products, R&D, and Process Development Company: Estée Lauder Location: Bristol, PA 19007 Salary/Wage: 50,000.00 - 60,000.00 USD /year Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Manufacturing/Production/Operations Relevant Work Experience: 2+ to 5 Years Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Company: Estée Lauder Address: Attn: HR Manager - Keystone Bristol, PA 19007 EOE/M/F/D/V Contact: Danielle Moore Email: Apply by Email
