Simulation Engineer

HK Systems, Inc. is looking for a Simulation Engineer in their Milwaukee, WI or Salt Lake City, UT offices. This person will be a key team member in the design and analysis of complex automated material handling systems. The job functions include:

•Supporting the sales process by creating 3D graphical simulation models of systems
•Aiding in the system concept development and validation by construction computer simulation models and performing data analysis on system parameters
•Identifying system constraints and areas of process improvement in existing systems through engineering methods and computer modeling
•Working in a team environment with control and software engineers creating project specific emulation models
•Programming simulation models using the AutoMod simulation package
•Completing statistical analysis using Excel, Access or ExpertFit
•Documenting and presenting simulation results through the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio and MicroStation

This position requires:

•A bachelor’s degree in Industrial engineering or similar degree
•Knowledge of one or more process simulation packages
•Familiarity with manufacturing and warehouse material handling technologies
•A thorough understanding of material and process flow
•Professional written and verbal communication skills
•Willing to occasionally travel

Experience using Industrial Engineering tools, AutoMod, Visual Basic or C++ is a plus.
