Bosch Rexroth Hydraulics is a worldwide leading supplier of hydraulic pumps, components and systems for mobile and industrial applications.  Because of continued growth, our Rochester Hills, MI facility is recruiting for an experienced Simulation Engineer to join our team.

BASIC FUNCTION:

·  Design and specify vehicle hydraulic systems

·  Develop simulation models for prototype and production hybrid propulsion systems

·  Develop system requirements, system and component documentation

·  Custom design of hydraulic system to customer requirements

·  Define electrical system requirements as they pertain to the hydraulic system

·  Interface with other company divisions and customers

·  Develop and support design specifications

·  Other duties, as assigned by the Design Manager and company management

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

·  Develop AMESim component, sub-system and system simulation models for passenger car, light and medium duty truck hydraulic hybrid applications

·  Manage data base of design parameters and specifications of hydraulic components, sub-systems and systems

·  Evaluate component, sub-system and system designs using DOE and Tachugui methods and propose best solutions

·  Supply technical solutions and models for management and customer presentations

·  Using simulation models

 

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

·  MS in Engineering minimum

·  5 years experience with hydraulic components and systems

·  5 years of modeling and simulation experience

·  Engine, transmission, and driveline experience

·  Knowledgeable in electrical components and systems

·  AMESim, Matlab, Simulink, C++ software experience required

·  Leadership experience with large projects

·  Understanding of government regulations, safety critical and reliability systems as it applies to ground transportation vehicles
