Software Design Engineer

The Irrigation Division, headquartered in Riverside, CA, has an opening for a Software Design Engineer.  This position will be located in the Simi Valley, CA facility. RESPONSIBILITIES:  * Development of new software applications.* Sustaining current applications.* Working with marketing personnel to develop marketing requirements. * Perform software/firmware design engineering assignments.  * Conceives and plans projects involving the assessment of the basic architecture and current hardware limitations, definition and selection of new concepts.* Analysis and investigation of major software engineering project tasks.* Resolution of hardware/software compatibility and interface design considerations.  QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science degree in electrical, electronics, or computer science engineering.  At least one year experience in Microcomputer/microprocessor design (hardware and software) in the consumer or industrial electronics industry. Skilled in macromedia flash; real time control programming; microcomputer coding in assembly language and object code; personal computer and microprocessor software/hardware development systems (code development, emulation-real time and non-real time); familiarity with microprocessor hardware such as 8-bit series and 16-bit series; proficiency in the use of programming platforms  C#, Delphi, Action Script, ASP.NET, HTML and Java. Toro offers a competitive compensation package which includes:  medical and dental benefits; paid holidays and vacation; 401K; life and disability insurance; and education assistance. www.toro.jobs © 2007 The Toro Company Terms of Use | Privacy Notice
