Position Summary:
Source and contract Contract Manufacturing goods and services
Plan and lead project/sourcing initiatives
Develop, negotiate and manage contracts
Help manage and improve the Clorox/supplier relationship and the transactional processes
Ongoing /General Responsibilities:
Working with Contract Manufacturing Management and our internal business partners, identify as well as strategically manage and lead multiple complex sourcing initiatives for Contract Manufactured goods and services.
Evaluate business opportunities to maximize cost savings, while ensuring the best quality and service and the greatest supplier capabilities.
Create and manage strategic supplier relationships with key suppliers to meet/exceed company requirements for cost and service.
Negotiate supplier contracts using contract templates, facilitate process development & improvement with Contract Manufacturing Management, Legal and internal business partners.
Manage ongoing supplier issues to meet business partner needs.
Interact with senior internal management and external personnel on matters requiring coordination between organizations.
Create and issue RFxs using e-sourcing tools to solicit supplier proposals.
Use production-planning tools to assess Supplier’s capability to meet requirements and to communicate risk to internal business customers.
Budgets & Span of Control:
Create multi-million dollar sourcing recommendations for review and approval by Contract Manufacturing Management and business partners.
Authorize purchase orders and contracts under $1,000,000
Educational/Experiential Requirements:
Business degree with additional courses or training in Procurement.
7+ years of total supply chain/related industry experience with 5+ years experience in Procurement.
Experience in the procurement of Contract Manufactured goods & services desired.
Experience in leading cross-functional teams through defined processes.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong analytical skills and understanding of MS Office tools.
Experience with e-sourcing tools and SAP is desired.
Advanced negotiation skills and experience is required.
Strong communication and presentation skills and experience are required.
Must be able to juggle multiple projects and responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities.
