Description

Leading nutritional supplement company is seeking a dynamic individual to perform as Sourcing Specialist to coordinate outsource manufacturing. This person will be responsible to obtain domestic and potential offshore suppliers that can effectively supply products that meet our quality standards at a cost that supports our business goals.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

§ Manage Outsource supply-chain projects across entire product line.

§ Ability to analyze, plan and execute decisions is a must.

§ Demonstrate ability to execute cost reductions, performance improvement, and supplier transitions.

§ Manage all projects and implementations including economic analysis, and risk management.

§ Work with R&D, Engineering, and Manufacturing to determine products that could realize optimization and cost improvement.

§ Communicate project priorities, status, timelines and deliverables to management team.

 

Requirements

§ College degree or equivalent

§ Three years experience sourcing, purchasing or planning in a manufacturing environment-with a background in consumer packaged goods being preferred.

§ Candidate must possess a proven record of successful negotiations and the ability to locate, develop and manage supplier relationships.

§ Have capacity to successfully manage change is critical to this position.

§ Candidate must also demonstrate past achievement in resolving issues of supply, quality and price.

§ Pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check are standard.
