Our Corporate Headquarters, located in Lisle, IL, is seeking an experienced Sr Accountant for our Finance group.We are looking for candidates with warehouse accounting experience or manufacturing accounting experience.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Division Accountant serves as a business partner with our internal customers to provide financial expertise in the areas of financial and cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting.
Prepares and documents journal entries for the monthly general ledger close.
Reviews general ledger postings for accuracy and provides commentary on variances to budget and forecast.
Prepares plant based income statements for management review.
Analyzes and provides commentary on financial statement variances and trends.
Assists in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecast updates.
Interfaces with our plant to reconcile variances.
Analyzes standard and actual warehouse costs.
Prepares financial reporting and analysis of Global Sales and Marketing Division selling costs.
Provides cost analysis on and database management for the company’s fleet of sales vehicles.
Supports cost reduction efforts by identifying new opportunities to reduce cost.
Supports the fixed asset system including maintenance, asset tagging, reconciliations and performing fixed asset inventories.
Follows approved policies and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION:
Required:Bachelor's degree in Accounting 
Preferred:Master’s degree in Accounting.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: 
Required:   2 to 5 years accounting experience.
PC skills.  Knowledge of Windows 2003 and spreadsheet software.
Knowledge of accounting principles.
Effective verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability  to express ideas and exchange information clearly and concisely.
Organization skills to anticipate, plan, organize and self-monitor workload.

Preferred:   Experience in any of the following areas:
Financial accounting including monthly close and reporting.
Cost analysis of inventory standard, actual warehousing costs, and selling costs.
Budgeting and forecasting.
Fixed asset accounting.
Presentation skills that demonstrate the ability to prepare and deliver concise and effective presentations relative to financial data.
Problem solving and analytical skills that show the ability to apply a disciplined, logical and comprehensive approach to problems and decisions and the ability to analyze quantitative information.
Knowledge of PC database (Microsoft Access) and SAP experience.
