Sr. Controls Engineer

GEMCITY Engineering and Manufacturing, a global design and manufacturing supplier of automated equipment and contract-manufacturing services, has an immediate opening for an Sr. Controls Engineer with the following requirements

 

-5 years hands-on lead Controls design experience

· Proven equipment design successes

· Knowledge of lean design techniques

· Successful specification writing, quoting, and concepting abilities

· Proficiency with AutoCAD (2-D schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, cable drawings, detailing, etc.)

· Quoting history

· Team leadership abilities

· Customer contact and negotiating abilities

· Commitment to meeting/beating estimated project schedules and costs

· Good communication skills with professional demeanor/attitude, and good meeting management disciplines required

· Mastery of the following design functions:

§ Pneumatic and electrical schematic design and component selection

§ Define all IO, bit list, and user interface requirements

§ Safety Risk Assessment generation

§ Definition and sizing of all motorized axes

§ PC/PLC/Robotic hardware integration

§ Sensor selection/implementation 

Familiarity with NFPA79, SEMI, and CE standards
