Develops and maintains product designs in accordance with marketing requirements and minimizes warranty costs associated with them. Conducts inter-departmental design review meetings, maintain project documentation and help develop and adhere to approved schedules.  Maintains extensive contact with customers, Sales and/or Marketing; vendors; other departments; and Operations.  Travels to acquire training and to meet with customers, suppliers, test facilities and other operations.  Travel: less than 25%Education/Experience:  BS in Engineering from a four-year college or university and have a minimum of five (5) years project and people management experience.  BS degree requirement may be waved at the managers discretion  if one of the following conditions are met:  10 years demonstrated experience in responsible charge of engineering projects; PE license and 5 years experience would be equivalent to BS degree. Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) as well as Internet software and E-mail is required.
