Sr. Financial Planning Analyst I

EOE M/F/D/V We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Little Rock, AR based finance department. The Sr. Financial Analyst will assist Regional Management in making sound financial decisions based on current and expected performance. The Analyst reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the Southwest Region and does not supervise subordinate staff.Responsibilities: Supports decisions made by Regional Management and branch location managers by providing financial and other quantitative insight into complex circumstances; Using complex computer programs such as Excel and Cognos, analyzes data to identify under- performing service centers or financial issues related to Company acquisitions and mergers, and makes recommendations to correct these situations; Provides information and recommendations typical related to, but not limited to, profitability, cost to serve, investment and ROI on segments of customers, geographies, inventory, equipment, or other assets; Synthesize data from all relevant departments ranging from the local branch office to corporate departments such as Accounting, MIS, Operations, Purchasing, Treasury, and Marketing; Coordinates the annual sales and budget planning process; Gathers, organizes and distributes data that the sales and budget plans are built on; Retrieves data from the SAP accounting system; Interacts on a daily basis with both staff and leadership of these groups.Local applicants only please (Relocation not provided) Requirements: Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, or related field; At least five (5) years of professional experience in an analytical or related position that requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail; Experience using complex forecasting and budgeting software, such as Cognos or Hyperion. Extremely proficient with database architecture/design, Applications such as Cognos, as well as, with PC databases and software such as Excel, Access, Monarch, or other decision support tools; Good communication and interpersonal skill in interacting across multiple departments and levels within a medium to large size enterprise.
