Qualifications:
GENERAL FUNCTION:This position will have authority to supervise the Building Solutions Programs which will include project management as necessary. This position serves as the liaison between the Building Solutions Department Manager and field sales, as well as, marketing personnel for all groups focusing on long term program objectives. Develops and executes processes for all key programs in Building Solutions, including but limited to the Builder, Remodeler and Designer/Inspector Programs. Responsible for effectively communicating all program elements regarding literature to Department Manager, as well as, effective communication for same to field sales and marketing personnel.Develops under direction of the Building Solutions Department Manager, processes that support all four programs and evaluates Building Solutions effectiveness with regard to field sales. Conduct surveys as necessary as a means of measuring success. This position is critical to ensure that the Building Solutions marketing message is effective as viewed as a competitive advantage in the marketplace.This position will provide vital feedback to the Department Manager that will support program changes and enhancements. This position will provide direction and training to all program administrators. Will be responsible for development and execution of literature, improving processes across groups and with field sales to ensure optimal results.DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Promotion/Merchandising• Establish under the direction of the Department Manager, Building Solutions, promotion/merchandising objectives for all programs. Furthermore, develop creative concepts for accomplishment of these objectives.• Advertising Campaign – develop ads, media schedule and means of tracking response rate for all three programs• Communications Plan – implement communications plan to encompass both product and program information. Program to run on a 12 month basis to builders, distributors, remodelers, designers/inspectors, and field sales.• Develop follow up and fulfillment processes for trade journals, trade shows, Internet site, sales aids, and sales promotion programs.• Representation/Attendance at trade shows and other affiliation/industry events as appropriate. 20% Field Sales Training and Support• Develop and plan effective means to train new members of Field Sales (i.e. webinars, in-person training sessions, support materials)• Develop and plan effective means to train all Building Solutions teams on program changes and developments (i.e. team meeting attendance, webinars, conference calls)• Annually plan and execute Team Leader/Mentor meetings to establish program changes, program support materials, provide information to help leaders/mentor effectively lead teams toward completion of all annual program goals. 15% Program Development• Under the direction of the Department Manager design implementation through interface and coordination of efforts between all Groups’ Marketing and Sales management, Sales Support Group, with direct communications support to Sales.• Gather program feedback from field sales, customers and others for consideration of program additions and modifications.• Develop and oversee production of literature and communications tools to promote programs. 15% Group/Division, Field Sales, Distributor, Architect, Remodeler, and Builder Liaison.• Develop and relay effective communication regarding all aspects of Builder, Contractor, Remodeler and Designer/Inspector programs to ensure all elements of the program are understood and supported by internal and external customers. Communication to be on-going and pertinent to all audiences. 10% Market Planning• Execute market penetration objectives for BSP programs.• Maintain current competitive information to assist the Marketing Manager.• Coordinate the implementation of marketing plans for Building Solutions with all groups.• Develop training strategies for procedure modifications and communications to field sales. 10% Program Positioning• Establish or maintain partnerships with strategic organizations which ultimately benefit the growth and strength of the programs. 10% Manage and maintain budgets• Manage budgets as they relate to literature, merchandising promotions, etc.• Support Director and Department Manager in establishing new budgetsPROBLEM-SOLVING: Identify market needs through analysis of field intelligence, competition, customer communication, and industry trends to determine the most effective means to accomplish short- and long-range objectives as determined by Building Solutions Marketing Manager (i.e., program positioning, strategy development, additions to the BSP programs). Requires independent thinking and resourcefulness to insure that decisions/recommendations are based on thorough analysis and direction from Marketing Manager. Excellent human relation skills. Overnight travel required for trade show and team meeting support.KNOWLEDGE:Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field. 7-8 years experience in marketing or sales. Excellent human relations skills required. Travel requirements: 20%
