This is an exciting opportunity with a global industry leader representing superior products for a trusted name.What would you be doing?As our client’s Senior R&D Engineer you would work within the company’s Product Innovation team contributing to new product features and ideas and implementation. Your responsibilities would include: Assisting in the creation of the company’s innovation strategy Providing additive ideas and concepts to the product innovation organization Researching new manufacturing technologies and techniques Assisting with identifying product improvements Implementing improvements with processes and operations Creating and implementing approved project plans on time and under budget Assisting product development team on projects assigned by the product leadership director as neededIs this job for you?We’re looking for a R&D professional with a hands-on approach to exploring new materials, technologies and processes. Above all else we’re seeking innovative and creative thinkers who can not only explore new materials and designs but articulate and define them to others. If that sounds like you, read on; here are a few things we’re seeking in the ideal candidate: Experience in manufacturing engineering and supporting Research and Development Work history in coordinating project development from conception all the way through to implementation Strong knowledge of working with metals and plastic composites Knowledge in Toyota Production System (Lean Manufacturing) Wood working knowledge is a plus Demonstrated success and experience in product innovation engineering Bachelor’s degree in either Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint Skill with CAD software would be very helpful Familiarity with patenting designs and the patent process Knowledge of JD Edwards ERP software is a plusWhat’s so great about this job, anyway?You mean aside from the supportive team and world-class work facilities?
