Sr Staff Accountant

 Section 1 – Summary of the Position

 

Consolidation and analysis of our financial statements and the preparation and communication of all external financial reporting documents.

 

  Section 2 – Key Responsibilities

 

1. Perform various month-end responsibilities including:

Financial Reporting and Analysis

Prepare Consolidating Schedules

Journal Entry Preparation

Prepare/Generating System Consolidating, Center and Corporate Reports

Operational Reporting/Analysis

Write Accounting Comments

Prepare Miscellaneous Month End Financial Schedules/Reports

 

2. General Ledger: Report and Account Maintenance

Bank Account Reconciliation

Inter-company Account Reconciliation

Maintain Automatic/Recurring Journal Entries

GL Accounts Analysis and Reconciliation

Volume Reporting and Analysis

Assist with Quarter End and Year End Audit Process

Assist with Annual Budgeting Process

Miscellaneous Special Projects/Analysis/Process Improvements

Daily Cash Flow Management

Ad-hoc assignments

 

3. Manage/Supervise AR, AP, and Jr. Accountant

 

4. Backup for Payroll Processing

Technical (knowledge, skills and abilities)

·         Intermediate Knowledge of Accounting Practices and familiarity with GAAP.

·         Intermediate Analytical skills.

·         Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

·         Excellent management skills.

·         Ability to follow procedures and maintain documentation in a neat and organized fashion.

·         Advanced PC skills (Word, Excel, FAS).

Experience:

 

·         BA/BS in Accounting.

·         Professional Exposure to GAAP.

·         At least 5 – 7 years as Staff Accountant in manufacturing environment.

·         At least 3 - 5 years of supervisory skills
